Let me see, in the Catholic church either you are catholic or you are a heretic, in the Mormon church either you are a Mormon or you are a apostate, in Islam either you are a Muslim or you are a infidel, punishment for not being a member of these three different beliefs is death.
I am not a Catholic, I am not a Mormon, I am not a Muslim, I am not a heretic, I am not a apostate, I am not a infidel.
I have my hope with God and his only begotten son Jesus and the Holy Ghost.

People of all religions see infidels as anyone who doesn't believe in what they do. Muslims see Christians as infidels and vice versa, so your comment that infidels do not believe in God is not entirely correct. They may believe in God, it may be a different God or in the case of Christians, Jews and Muslims it is the same God, just in different ways. Not all people who do not believe in God believe in the Big Bang Theory. I do not believe in God, but likewise I have issue with the Big Bang Theory. I just have too many questions which cannot be answered by either side at this point.
Why can't God have created the Big Bang, or the Big Bang have created God? It would certainly solve alot of issues.

By your use of that word I assume that you are muslim. Your grammar tells me that you are most likely from the south as you don't make the mistakes non-native speakers make but rather mistakes seen mostly by the uneducated masses that dwell in the south. An infidel, is someone not of your faith and we believe a lot of different things, from the Christians whose belief doesn't differ that much from your own to hundreds of pagan religions some of which have their history in Babylon before Islam. I am a pagan. I believe in many gods and godesses as there are lots of everything else so it makes sense to me. I believe that these gods are creatures of this universe and are not creators of it. I do not believe in an intelligent creation as there is too much evidence against it. I am also a scientist, a human biologist to be exact and I understand the evidence and research behind the big bang, abiogenesis, evolution, global warming, and the lot. I believe in a lot of things, but not the God of Abraham. Hope that helps.

Infidel is a Christian word, but in Islam a Kafir is someone whom knows God excists, but refuses to have faith.
In Islam, Christian, Jewish believers, and other people who believe in a higher power are not non-believers but among some that will go to Paridise. Muslims believe your actions and heart is what determines what type of person you are , not the title of your faith.

An infidel is someone who has different beliefs than you. An atheist can say that the most pious of Christians is an infidel, as they do not conform to atheism.
On a separate note, please work on grammar. It hurts reading it.

An infidel is one who lacks fidelity. It means they are traitorous or backstabbing. It doesn't mean that they have any specific beliefs, only that they can't be trusted under certain circumstances.
