I find eating protein for breakfast works for me. Eggs. Also for weight loss what worked for me was to eat the most earlier in the day and light towards dinner when there is not much time left to burn those calories. Whole grain toast with eggs and sometimes I have eaten leftovers from the previous night's dinner. Salad for lunch never really fills me up then I find by 4 I am too hungry again. More protein for lunch. I lost 60 pounds 10 years ago and am still maintaining with this program. Good luck!

Oatmeal is the best for energy and it fillls you up. It's also very low in fat and contains protein. I lost 70 pounds and I would always eat oatmeal and half a grapefruit for breakfast. It was the only food that would keep me going until lunch. (It does take will power to eat oatmeal in the summer)
Be careful when you eat salads not to use dressing. Even some light dressing have more fat than a Big Mac. Use only fat-free dressings. I would often have tuna for lunch with fat-free mayonaise.

You might want to try the Slim Fast Optima. It comes in cans and meal bars. It also comes in a can as powder that you mix with milk. Not only does it have vitamins and fills you up like a meal, but it also helps to control hunger. I have been on the stuff for over two weeks now and it does great for breakfast. Other times too if you're in a hurry.

Oat bran. I started eating oat bran for breakfast a few years ago to get my cholesterol down (it worked!). Oat bran is high in fiber which fills you up & takes time to digest, so you won't feel hungry for hours. It's rather bland, so try putting some cinnamon, fruit, or nuts on it. It's a far cry from all of those sugary cereals out there, but I got used to it and I really enjoy it now. Check out the link below for more high fiber food ideas. Good luck!

Don't overeat the carbs. Some people think that if you eat bread all by itself for a while, it will guarantee weight loss, but that's not true. Try eating a small amount of protien, like eggs, because a little goes a long way, or cereal advertised for it's 0 trans fat. But don't eat a sandwich or some kind of toast, because that's all carbs, which causes you to gain weight.

Oatmeal, one slice of toast and a piece of fruit, one cup of coffee or juice, your choice. The oatmeal is good for your cholesterol and will stick with you as well as bacon & eggs. For a mid-morning snack, 1 hard-boiled egg and the second piece of toast (assuming you can take this to work with you.)
Do a few loosening up exercises before you eat, and you'll find you eat less.
Good luck on the weight loss effort!

The best type of breakfast is a balanced one. You need to "break the fast" from the night, therefore, it is a very important meal. Pick a slow-burning carb (i.e. oatmeal, whole wheat toast, whole grain cereal), a fast-burning carb (i.e. fruit--> go easy on fruit juice), and a protein (i.e. eggs, yogurt, peanut butter). The fast-burning carb helps you to jump start your day, while the slow-burning carb and the protein will give you energy later on.
