how do you do a messy bun?

I wear messy buns all the time. They're my fav, so I can probably help you out. It'll just be hard to explain, so bear with me. Flip your head forward so all of your hair is upsidedown, then, using your hands, work your hair like your going to put it into a pony tail. Next, flip your head back up, hair still like it's going to be put into a pony, then ruffle it. Put your hair into one big frumpy bun using a ponytail holder/elastic/rubberband. Don't worry about the pieces falling out yet. Take the pieces that are falling out and force them back into your ponytail holder in random places. Ruffle your bun, using your hand, until more pieces fall out. Do the same thing with those pieces, as you did with the other pieces that fell out. Now all you do spray a very light layer of hairspray. Pull your "wispys" out around your face and voila! Your done.

I put my hair up like I am going to put it in a pony tail, but I don't bring it all the way though the last time around. I take that hair and pin it up with bobby pins. Pull out some pieces of hair around your face to finish the look.

u have to get it in a bun, put some gel on it, than put ur finger through it and put it up and tie it,
it works really good!!!
