She was diagnosed with ADHD but she is still off the chain, is there possibly something else wrong besides the ADHD? She does things over and over again after being told over and over again not to do them..she is really just an embarassment to me..what should i do? do i need to have her evaluated for bipolar disorder?

My son and I BOTH have ADHD. We both find that doing daily aerobics and stretching, the chemicals in the brain go higher, so we feel better about life, more focused. Once a week, we both do weightlifting (he started lifting at age 5, he is now 15, I have been lifting for 21 years), this helps us to focus and keep in control the entire week.

People with ADHD have a lot of energy. If you do not give the body something to do, it gets crazy and does ANYTHING to release the energy.

Start doing Jumping Jacks, 10 at a time, rests between, with her. Does wonders and works the entire body!!

We both do 100 jumping jacks every day, except Saturday. Day off.

That doesn't sound like bi-polar disease. There is one, I can't remember what its called, but the person always does the oposite of what they are told.
My mom once followed around her boyfriends son, even had lunch with him a school for a week. She documented that some foods made him have ADHD episodes. Things like peanut butter and eggs for example. When he wasn't given those he was fine. But he would crave these things so bad that in the morning we would find little hand scoop prints in the peanut butter from where he dug it out to eat it. Which I guess is a sign of a food allergy. You could try watching what she eats and how it effects her.
Try not to look at her as an embarassment, she's bound to notice that and it will effect her long term. Instead try to help her by finding out exactly whats wrong, and how to treat it. It will be challenging, but if you get to the bottom of it, she can live a better life and so can you.

On Supernanny A womans son had ADHD and Supernanny had her listen on this CD of what people who have that disorder are hearing everyday. Go to your doctor and ask what you should do and she could have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder in other words OCD Good Luck!
