You need to check the local laws, but it will end up you having to take her to court and having her evicted. In most towns if a person has been living with you I believe it is over 24 hours they are a resident and you need to evict them.

sounds like you didn't set any rules when she moved in. she and her kids need to help out, not just free-load off you and hubby. since she's expecting to stay another 3 months, sit down with her, talk to her calmly and let her know if it's going to work, there will need to be changes. give her until the middle of April or so - about a month to get it in gear. if she doesn't, tell her she's out at teh end of April. good luck.

this kind of stuff is never easy, but it's really better for all involved - you, hubby, sis and her kids - that she find another place to stay. never take in family.

If her name is not on the lease, you have every right to make her move out, even if it comes to you calling the police to escort her off the premises once you give the ultimatium. No one should have to deal with that, especially from family.

Ever heard of Tough Love? She needs to grow up and be responsible. It will be hard on you, but in the end she will thank you for it. If not, she is just very ungrateful.

Because she is family this will be hard but you need to call the police and have her escorted out BUT ONLY IF SHE REFUSES TO LEAVE ON HER OWN!
