Why can't I play a WAV (wave) audio file on my Windows Media Player? When I try to, it says "now playing", but the bar just stays there. It works perfectly on Quicktime...
and more important question:
I converted this same file to an MP3, and it's now playing, but wayyy too fast. As if it were fast forwarding. All my other MP3s sound great.
Yes, I do have the latest version, and have even tried it with the old ones.

Thankyou.

When you converted it, it probrably sped it up a tad bit. This has happened to me before. As for the WAV... I dunno. Try uninstalling and reinstalling, and select .WAV as a format on the instruction list.

it must be the mp3 file then, when all the other mp3 files are working fine then its this file that has something wrong with it. how did you convert it from wav to mp3? is it really in wav format or is it just the file extension? look into the files properties and see what the encoding is....

In Media Player, got to the enhancements and search for the speed in which it plays. Maybe it's too fast. Or the file's corrupt and player doesn't support it.
