Symptoms of hypothyroidism are, weight gain, difficulty losing weight with diet & exercise, IBS with constipation, low blood pressure, slow heart rate, low body temp, sensitivity to light, sensitivity to cold, dry skin, dry thinning hair, depression, fatigue, mood changes, headaches, vertigo, muscle & joint aches, fertility problems, sleep apnea, voice changes, and goiter.
As far as weight loss, most need the morning TSH if they are on T4 to be around 1.0. If they are on T4/T3, they need the free t4 midrange and the free t3 high in range. If the levels are way off weight loss won't happen.
