First, you need to invest in a satin or silk pillow case. That way your hair slides around on the pillow rather than 'stick' to a cotton pillow case...that's what causes bedhead. If you want your hair to stay straight, style then either leave loose or wrap into a really loose bun without ponytail holder so you don't get a indention. But, I've braided my hair at night when it's damp and woken up with wonderful waves.

Brush your hair before you go to sleep then braid it. In the morning straighten your hair. Or you could just have a shower then blow dry and straighten it in the morning. Blow drying and straightening only takes about 15 minutes and your shower should only last 15 minutes so that would only be 30 minutes of your time.

Just wash your hair at night, brush it, put it in a bun and go to sleep. Then, in the morning, straighten your hair.

Have you tried putting your hair in a ponytail and sleeping w/ that? That sometimes works for me because it kinda stays...down. like just a low ponytail and sleep on your side.
