Ok, so I wasnt planning on going to prom. I think it is over rated, and not worth my time.
In my town, they do Alcohol tests... And the building is like an hour away...
I dont want to have to rent a tuxedo or anything... or have anyone take us there... and it is just my friend that wants to go with me.... IDK, what should i do, should i go or not?

go anyway! it might suck, but thats part of the experience! you will have the opportunity to go to what one, maybe two proms in your lifetime. and what would you be doing if you didnt go to prom? be drinking or watching a movie? how many opportunities do you have to do that in the future?

I really think that you should go. When you become an adult, life is about work and making ends meet. One day you'll be 30, maybe with a wife and kids and look back to the good ole days of endless fun and alot less responsibility, wishing that what you seen in your yearbook, that you had witnessed first hand. Have fun with your gal pal and a few other friends that you talked into coming along with ya guys. A tux was cool back in my day but I'd like to be the girl who showed up with guy who wore something funky and fun and who would have made light of big night.. such as prom. Its something to always remember and believe it or not.. one day you'll cherish it. I went 4 times.. and the last time.. I was 22! I was the only one there who was drunk! Ahhh good good times! Just be safe and let your friend know how much she means to you by taking her.

Rejoice young man in thy youth for death is always near. I remember that saying but never understood it until I got older. I too did not attend my prom. I thought as you do. However, I would give anything to turn back the hands of time and go to my prom. I can honestly say that I will NEVER go to my prom but you do not want to wonder "what if" many years down the line. Go and make the best of it and get the experience to one day share with your children. Life is about opportunity and some opportunity's never come again. HOpe this helps.

In my opinion, the prom is a time when you get to ask a girl to a very special dance. I would go but only if I could get a date. Take it from me, I've been to dances with and without dates and it's a lot more fun with a date.

Hey man, if you don't want to go - don't go. It won't be the end
of the world. All of the crap you have to go through when you're in high school, (I assume you're talking about the H.S. prom) won't be of any importance to you ten years from now
anyway. Think a little farther down the road.

You should go to the prom for your friends sake. Maybe she's too shy to ask someone else and you're her only option. Don't make the poor girl miss her prom because its a hassle for you. Suck it up, I bet it will be fun.

Prom is something everyone should go to....I have some friends that regret not going. Just go and have fun :)

go prom is the best experience ever i got a chance to go to two proms and they where great. mine was fun and my high school girlfriend was a year older and i went with her to her prom and it was fun/

you should go...just hang out with your friend and you will have a great time. if you dont go, you'll regret it later on
