They usually go with your median score. However, the three credit bureaus are starting to use what is called the Advantage Score. It is based on a scale that goes from 500 to 950. They have a super secret formula that uses information from all three reports to come up with your score. The higher your score, the better your credit.

tha'ts the problem with the credit reporting agencies ( and hence why they are being sued ), it's the inaccuracy between all 3, as since all 3 compete why as the arguement goes would you go to the competitor for a credit score when i can give you my evaluation of what i think you score is.. hence why the truth lies somewhere.. but not necessarily with the 3...
