Not really...In most cases your general dentist will do the procedure. It's pretty simple and he/she knows what they are doing and you'll be in great hands....Good Luck

Any general dentist does post & crown procedures. The crown does take 2 appointments.

all general dentists do posts and buildup around 240-295 range and then the crown about 700-950 range. Crowns should last a long while for if you floss them, brush the gumline and make sure the dentists checks the margin each 6 month visit.

A general dentist, not necessarily a specialist, is trained to do post and crown restoration.

shouldn't matter really, any dentist will do. Some are just better than others... comsmetic dentist usually speciallize and will do posts and crowns all day, If its a posterior tooth, nothing special esthetically is needed, no one will see it. If its near the front you want it looking nice and natural right! ask around.
