If you are completely over your ex don't let it bother you if they try dating to see if it works out. They're each individuals and you and him are over so let them be free to do whatever they want. If it does hurt you then you need to talk to the friend and tell her please don't date him. You would be a bigger person not to let it hurt you, though because there is someone out there for you and its not him so let her give him a try. But, if you think that he's the wrong one for her (not for selfish reasons like because its hurting you) because he was a bad boyfriend, or is just using her, go ahead and explain those important points to protect your friend from him. If she doesn't believe you and wants to date him anyway, she'll need a good friend when he dumps her and hurts her. If he's not a bad guy, then just let go and let live. To hold onto them hurts you the most instead of just setting them free.

stay out of it. if she knows you and knows your ex, she'll have a good idea what she's getting into.
if you say something, she may call you jealous. if, as you suspect, he's just using her, she'll need a friend when it's over. so don't judge and just keep quiet.

I thought it was a rule that girls date their friends ex but I would warn ur friend and tell her about ur concerns
