You know, I always think about this question...since I figure that my current girlfriend and I might not be able to be together forever. But I guess it's better to have at least loved someone for a period of time, and lose them, than to not have ever experienced that love at all. Love is one of the greatest feelings that humankind can feel, and you should enjoy it.

Because if u have never been in love then u would be missin out on happiness & the joy of life... It will cause u pain time 2 time but the beautiful memories would give u somethin 2 look back & laugh about... Not bein able 2 love is probably a waste of life... But hey thats jus my opinion!

At birth we are going through so many physical changes early in life. Learning what our parents and siblings teach us, but "love" is vague and most of the time misunderstood. I believe it is what makes "humans" truly different from animals...not better, but different. It is in essence what I believe we as humans must realize and embrace before we can completely understand life. Love is truly a spiritual quest and thus it is better to have known it because like a drug....it can cause such sorrow, but such joy which should outweigh the sorrow. In closing we must understand that this emotion should be rationed and not cast amongst swine.

Because love is so fulfilling, and when you have experienced it once in a lifetime, there is nothing else like it. You keep looking to find it again, and if you're real lucky, then you will. But if not, then its great to just have found that true love once.

I think it is better to love and lost. At least you had te experience and know what love is. You can find love again. But, you have to experience it to appreciate it.

Love is an experience all can benefit from. Loving helps one develop character. It is a fact of life, we all will lose someone we have loved in one way or another.

because every relationship is a risk, but even with that, you will still feel the love, joy and bittersweetness it brings. Even if the love has gone, just thinking about it will bring back those kind of feelings making you still feel a certain sweetness in your heart.

It is better to have loved and lost. Then I think you get closer to meeting your soul mate, after dating lots of different people.
