Don't rush weight loss, the longer you take to lose it (within reason), the longer it will stay off, and then you form good habits. Try this:
First thing- don't change how much you eat (unless it is WAY WAY to much), start out by changing what you are eating. If it comes in a diet option, try it. If you are drinking 1% milk, try skim (or the next percentage down), avoid juice (liquid calories are way to easy to consume and hard to get rid of).
Second thing- Watch out for when you are eating these things, often times it is better to have smaller meals and snack throughout the day.
Third thing- NEVER EAT FAST FOOD. It is essentially a slow acting poison on your body and can lead to more health problems than you can think of.
Fourth thing- if you don't exercise, start out going for walks in the park or somehting, then bring it up to a light jog (once you are comfortable), then slowley bring up the intensity.
Fifth thing- Evaluate everything you put in your mouth, (i.e. avoiding higher fat meats like ribs, pork.. try fish instead or dear or chicken... then general meat rule is that the fewer legs it had as an animal, the better it is for you). Also, think about what goes into you ask yourself, "Should I be eating this?"
Sixth thing- You don't have to be doing all this 100% of the time, treat yourself, but recognize your priorities when it comes to it and don't let "treating yourself" get out of hand.

You can't lose weight fast. But If you eat right and excerise daily then you can get into great shape. Don't eat fast food, fast food can be a treat thing, not a three times a week sort of thing. It was hard for me to get into shape, but since this is my second year playing soccer I got into really great shape.
Do you like sports? If you do go out and be active, do anything that you will enjoy.
Try dancing, or go to a workout class. Plus you can get videos to help you lose weight. Also drink lots of water, keeps the body clean and healthy. Good Luck : )

A high protein diet, few carbs and fat, will drop your weight FAST. Even without exercise. I went from a size 14 to a 6 in five months.
The drawback is that it is not a healthy diet. The excess protein will cause a build-up of purines in your body which can cause gout--a very, very painful type of arthritis. So it is important to drink a lot of WATER--not soda or coffee--on this diet and just do it for a short amount of time.
If you want to take of weight in a healthy way, then the Zone Diet is the way to go. It seems a bit tricky, but it is a diet you can live with, and you can even eat fast food on this diet. Go to the website for info.

oh lord... I've heard this question time and time again... but instead of going into this whole speech about how unhealthy losing to much weight to fast is, I'll do you one better...
1) Take Ripped Fuel Extreme by TwinLabs
2) Eat 5 small meals a day (don't skimp out and make them healthy!)
3) Run or do some Cardio everyday.
4) Take Vitamins Daily and drink water only
their you have it... here is your quick 'fix' for dropping weight. When you're ready to get into a 'healthier' lifestyle which I'm hoping this will lead you to, check out other health forums for advice on lifestyle changes...

You cant lose weight very fast. The faster you lose it the more likely it is that you'll gain it back. Sometimes you can retain water weight and that's how it may seem that you lost weight. The best way to lose weight is to cut down on the calories you eat and start doing more activities.

Kool kat, sorry but Max is right. losing weight is not a race and sending it off your body too fast can have some pretty negative health effects. one of which has to do with your body's metabolism not being able to balance itself in the process and risking putting all the weight back on plus some.
my suggestion though is to get a book called "The Master Cleanser" by Stanley Burroughs. It speaks of a fasting diet that cleanses the body of residual toxins caused by a lifetime of a less than perfect diet (whose is?). but whether or not you feel like you can complete the fast or not, he speaks of ways to help change your diet that have great effects in the long run. personally i am a vegan who gets plenty of all the vitamins and nutrients i need to stay healthy and active. another book is "Be Here Now" by Ram Dass. check them out and i promise you wont need to rely on any diet book or quick fix weight management plan. Hope I've helped! peace

Diet and exercise! Sometimes pills help but that is only if you are WAY over weight. Otherwise, cut back the sodas (those are the larges cause of weight gain) and have 5 small meals instead of 3 large ones. :)
