Grease burns can be deep. Many tend to be third degree (completely through the skin). They can take time to heal and leave poor scars. If the burn is small and not in a sensitive area (such as the mouth,) you can dress it with a triple antibiotic ointment and wait it out. If it takes more than a few weeks to heal , you might want to have your doctor look at it.

Treating a burn depends on how badly you are burned, how large the burned area is, and where you are burned. If you are talking a small spatter burn, as with bacon splatter- you can apply ice, then pat dry and cover with a bandaid. If you develop a blister, leave it be and keep it covered. If you are talking a larger area than say perhaps a quarter, or if there are multiple blisters, or the skin is really messed up an oozy looking, then you really ought to seek professional help at the ER. Burns are not something to mess with.

NO BUTTER most of what people have posted is true cool running water (standing water in a glass) will keep the infected water in contact with the burn so run cool water from a facuet then let it air dry once its dry loosly wrap some gauze over it with a burn onitment on the affected area hope this helps
and unless the country GREECE burnt you the above information will not help you any considering the fact.....FYI its grease

First of neosporin yes covering your burn no! There are other solutions like after you discovered your burn what did you do? You probably went to the sink ran cold water over it. The best stuff to help is called cold spray it heals burns quickly it should be in your first aid kit at your job. Do not put a band aid on it wrap an ace bandage around it with neosporin on your burn cover your burn but not with a band aid use cotton balls or something soft like a guaze pad you can find them at your local pharmacisit or wal mart. Putting a band aid will peel your skin and it hurts coming off i am just trying to save you some pain.

Wash it with cold water and detergent that will cut the grease.
Then soak it in a bowl of cold water with a bit of ice added, for about half an hour. If it's blistered, be careful not to break the blister. Put burn cream on it and keep it covered until it heals.

it depends on how bad it is..........some grease burns can be bad enough to land you in the ER. If you are blistering than you may want to get it checked out. If not than clean it well, but don't scrub it. Then wrap it loosely in gauze with a layer of neosporin underneath the bandage. Repeat a few times a day until it heals

Hospitals in many countries apply honey to burns, it provides a much more rapid healing. Manuka honey from New Zealand is particularly good and it is available in many countries.

Run cool water over it right away. Place a cold compress over it to cool down. Do not put butter or grease over it or it will fry. Later you can use neosporin. Pure aloe vera is great too.
