Because when people get angry they use bad words and hurt others. And some others are ignorant. Or may be they are brought up in a bad environment.

If you are referring to the use of profanity, then it is my opinion that it is used because,

1.) People are under the false belief that it makes them look cool in the eyes of their peers.

2.) People believe that everything in this life is a right and not a privilege & believe it is their right to say whatever they want, no matter what the consequences may be and

3.) Since the government in its infinite wisdom decided to take the power away from parents & hand it over to the children of the world (ie - not allowed to smack your own children) kids of today are growing up without respect, morals or the ability to work out or understand the difference between right & wrong.

I wish people would learn how to spell, and a few basic rules of grammar, but to deny the use of language that is centuries old is to deny your own cultural identity - I am an Anglo-Saxon, OK?

you can look up sociolinguistics in wikipedia and that will pretty much answer your question. i guess one of the reasons is because the use of a certain kind of language will make a person identify with a certain group that uses this language.

Bad language:
The use of bad language depicts a person who does not have control over his person. It seems that persons who are uneducated are more prone to "letting it all out".

Because they are brought up badly or exposed to a bad environment while growing.

Behavoiural patterns can be changed with the environmental changes.

Further it is a way of unpleasant expression.

When i was very young,my parents told me it was wrong to speak bad language,so I think the parents's education is very important.

there is no such thing as "bad" language. words are words. they all have their respective meanings. some people are just offended by certain words or use certain words, generally because that's how they were raised.

they don't have a large enough vocabulary to use other words. lol it's very easy to make someone feel like the pits without using any curse words.

wow. for about the same reasons people do anything. for me i use it alot when im intimadated. when i was a child cussing it was the only thing that got my fathers attention when he was yelling at me. it stopped him dead in his tracks. its all learned behaviors. some people have vices. things they didnt give up yet. cussing is one of mine.
