Im not sure if our dog is bleeding because she's in heat or if our male shiba inu hurt her. This would be her first time with a male dog.

She's not gushing blood, but she's leaving very small drops of blood on the floor. About 3 drops today. (like I said, not gushing)

We're taking her to the vet tomorrow but I thought I'd ask here for more information.

It sounds like she's just in heat, but it's always a good idea to check with the vet if you're worried.

She is more then likely in heat. They do have droplets of blood all over. They do not usually gush. She will probably be a little swollen in her business area also. She is awfully young to breed. Should keep the boy away .Get her spayed and him neutered. So many unwanted pups already.

What your seeing is normal for a dog in heat. Since it is her 1st heat this is not bad for bleeding.
I would really suggest that you not breed her this time but let her grow up a bit more you breed her. 9 months old is very young for a females to be bred. Please speak to your vet about this and really listen to his advice.

She is in heat. If you don't plan to breed her, you may want to consider having her spayed. This will stop the bleeding and other problems, such as male dogs hanging around the house and causing problems and so on.
Good luck!

At that age, she's probably in heat. While you are at the vet, be a good owner and make an appointment to get her fixed. : )
