So my co-workers know I am a Christian, and they seem to watch my every move. Today someone told me after I stated that I may quit w/o giving 2 weeks notice, they couldn’t believe I would do that since I try to be perfect. I was really shocked to hear this, u must understand this girl hasn’t been born again, and she jumps to conclusions and theory fast in her mind, not to mention not really confident at all, even w/ simple tasks like picking out glasses, (Im not judging, I just know that she has issues that need to be dealt with) man I responded on how Im not trying to be perfect just trying to make my father (God) smile and happy, and how I want to freely chose right rather than evil to make him happy. So by choosing that I might not become involved in all their slandering, and gossiping, and judging everything from the way someone dresses to why someone didn’t talk more. For real Pray that I can leave soon. I want to confront her about this more, but maybe I shouldn’t? What do you think?

Oh and by the way, why I wasnt going to put in 2 weeks notice in the first place was because of her stating that even if you do, they fire you the same day. So shes the one that told me this info. Guys Im TRYING my hardest here to do what God wants me to do. :)

Nothing anyone does should surprise you, if they are not born again, they do not know any better & are still walking w/the enemy. Why would you have expectations of someone who does not know any better? If you know better and are walking w/the Lord, then you are the one who has to watch yourself, you lead by example, you know. Just be yourself, you don't have to impress anyone. God loves you and would like you to glorify Him as best you can - find an ally in your office, but don't worry so much. No, you cannot be perfect, just saved.

Hmm lost you towards the end there once you started on about your father or something. I don't think your trying to be perfect but maybe superior - you have clearly judged that girl as inferior. I think it is you who isn't confident enough decide whats right and wrong without referring to a moral code. Do you think God would agree with you not fullfilling your responsibilities at work? That is a joke BTW.

Anyway this is useless but here goes anyway - stop trying to make an imaginary being happy that you have only read about in a book and hope exists coz the idea gives you a warm fuzzy feeling. Act with your human nature and a bit of objectivity and thats as perfect as you need to be.

LASTLY - people, stand on your own two feet and stop referring to God in every conversation you have... the truth is it just makes a lot of people think you're crazy.

As a christian I would turn the other cheek, she does not someone you need to be concerned about what she thinks. However, is the comment was made again, I would explain that as a christian you know that you are a sinner, and that there is no way you are perfect, only God is perfect. Tell her you are only trying to be the best person you can be without hurting others. Good luck God bless.

I think you should give 2 weeks notice regardless of all the other stuff you went on about (which I'm having a hard time understanding.) Regardless of being Christian, giving notice shows you have good work ethics and a little class.

I think you should go see a shrink if you want to talk and just want the other person to nod their head. This is a questions forum. In the case that you actually value my opinion, shrug it off. It doesn't really matter if your co-workers are surprised you aren't perfect.

You have to go with you heart on this one. Maybe you two can go to lunch or do something together away from work so you could talk to her in a non-confrontational way in a neutral setting.

You should tell them the REASON for Jesus Christ. The reason He came is because we CAN NOT be perfect. That we are all the exact opposit. But continue to be the example, its hard for me too, but it is amazing how much they do watch us. Pray, dont give up on it : )

Nah. Let your walk be the witness. If it stings her, it is SALT! Do not defend yourself, let Christ work on her. If anything, tell her about Jesus, and give her your testimony. God bless you! You are an inspiration!!!!!
