those are straight starch carbs. as long as your active and dont over indulge, they wont store as fat and it shouldnt be a problem.

never eat carbs alone, always combined with a protein, like a chicken breast or some turkey slices. potatoes raise blood sugar, so you need protein to slow down the sugar, this will help the body use what you eat as energy and not store it as fat

No, sweet potatoes will not make you fat unless you load them up with a lot of butter and brown sugar.
