I take klonipin 1 mg @ bedtime, the lowest dose I've taken for awhile. I liked it when I first began taking it but as already mentioned, you do eventually begin to build up a tolerance to it. I also was taking ativan and built up a tolerance to that eventually. That class of drugs works so well for panic/anxiety but I wouldn't recommend them in the long term for that reason. I don't know what exactly you are taking them for but I know that for a period, I couldn't live without them because my panic was so severe. My advice to you would be to take them if you absolutely need them but do try as many techniques as you can to control your symptoms because in the long run, all that the klonipin is doing is treating the symptoms, not the cause! I should be taking my own advice. We all want the easy way out, just give me a pill and I'll be better. I am learning the hard way that this is not the way it works! Good luck!

My doctor gave it to me to help with chronic back pain. I took it for quite some time and then one day he didn't renew my script and I went through withdrawal without any help. It is a benzodiazapine and VERY addictive. It does serve a purpose but be careful.

I take the generic version, mostly for sleep though. I've found that I can't take more than 2mg at one time b/c it knocks me out. It definitely helps when I'm anxious.
