It depends mostly on your weight and speed (or exertion). At a brisk walking pace of 3.5 miles per hour , a 120 lb person will burn about 280 calories in 60 minutes at that pace. 450 calories if walking at 4.5 miles per hour. A 150 lb person walking 3.5 mph will burn 340 calories in one hour and 570 calories at 4.5 mph in one hour.
If you can devote 45 mins to an hour for the treadmill 3 or 4 times a week, you'll get results. Try mixing in periods of light jogging for 10-15 minutes or increasing the incline. Both will increase the number of calories you burn and over time will increase your stamina.
See the websites below for more information. You can type in your weight and how long you'll be doing an activity, and it'll calculate an approximate number of calories burned over that period of time for a wide variety of activities.

It depends upon how fast you walk. If you maintain the speed of a 15 minute mile, you will burn 500 calories in one hour. Or put another way, you'd need to walk four miles at a speed of 15 miles per hour to burn 500.
If you walk slower, you burn the calories slower and it takes more miles.

The machines give you those numbers based on several assumptions. Only telling it your weight does not mean accuracy - there are many other things included in calculating how many calories you burned such as muscle mass, natural metabolic rate, hormonal function, etc. You probably burned several humdred calories at each workout you listed, but the exact amount cannot be calculated accurately by the machines. They are probably in the general ballpark though.:)
