he has too act like a lady, all the same rules will apply, except for, he will have to tape all of his private parts to the back of him, so he can get the feel of the pantyhose pulling at his crotch, and that will ensure he talks sweet like a lady too! and i hope he has a BALL!

Ok as long as the hostess , knows, and has agreed to this, it does not matter. If this person needs to be introduced then intoduced by his chosen name for the party. There is no need to explain unless some people ask and they can talk directly to the person in "costume"
If you think this is going to be a problem say this is my friend ....and leave it at that...Every situation is different.

I'd step it down a bit. A floor length sequined gown is more formal evening ware and these events are usually slacks and shirts sort of thing.

He should call and check with the hostess about how formal the event will be. If everyone is dressing in gowns which my guess would be no, he is out of line.

Now, bearing in mind that I have never been to a Mary Kay party (I am a guy), I ask the following question:

Would that not be a little overdressed for the occasion?

if a man wants to dress like a lady and be a lady then act like one. Who cares what other people think. He should be who he feels he is. Whatever suits his fancy.

Is he there to entertain? Sounds a little like to much fun.

Sure, it'll liven things up and make the girls laugh.

There is no proper etiquette for overdressing to that extent. He'd be far overdressed, which is just tacky.

He should be quiet and sit in the corner.
