Introduce yourself. Notice something about them (clothes, shoes, hair anything that is noticably different about them) and either comment or compliment and ask about the style or how different it is. Do not ask any question where an answer can be given back to you in one word (eg "How are you?" "Fine." I like your shoes/hair" "Thanks") Ask a question where they have to actually reply in a sentence (eg "Tell me about yourself/your family/where you grew up/your musical tastes" "Why did you decide to move to here?" "I just love your hair/shoes/dress tell me where did you get it?" "What do you think of....") Remember to keep the focus on them as most people love to talk about themselves and what their interests are.

smile at sum1, try one time ur b amaxed by how fair a smile actully gose.
once your done this youve broke the ice and it will be easier for both partied to talk so start by saying hi then ask questions for example
isn't the wether nice at the moment? how many children have you got? whats your job?
and also complement people everyone oves a complement and every1 likes to be spoken to but dont go to over the top wiv the question askin as sum people my feel you are invading there privacy!

The one I use all the time, "So...how bout them Raiders?" lol
I say it and I get the FUNNIEST looks! >.<
Most common response: "Um...it's not football season..."
The thing is, it's a great conversation starter cuz it get's everyone cracking up cuz that's the last thing in the WORLD you would expect someone to say! haha

Ask what the time is. That usually works out. And if they don't have the time be like i always forget my watch and stuff.
