use about 1Table spoon butter, or canola oil (or whatever you have) and add 1 - 2 Tablespoons flour in small sauce pan over medium heat. Stir with a wooden spoon for about 5 minutes. Then add in slowly chicken, beef, or turkey broth about 1/2 a cup at a time. Wisk (with a wisk duh) until the mixture begins to thicken, then add another 1/2 cup....etc. Continue doing this until you get the thickness you want. Then add salt, pepper to taste along with whatever else you want: celery salt, tumeric, paprika, garlic powder... its very simple to make, just make sure to add the liquid slowly to keep out the lumps.

OK, the following will be for about 1 cup of gravy:

Heat a small saucepan.
Add 2 Tablespoons of butter and 2 Tablespoons of flour. While the butter is melting and the flour cooking, put 1 cup of milk in the microwave and get it hot (about 2 1/2 mintues).

Once the butter/flour mixture is bubbling, add 1 bullion cube, maybe beef would be best. Mix it up, and then add about half the milk. Stir until it's thick. Add the rest of the milk and stir again, keeping the heat on, until it's thick again. If it's too thick, add more milk, a little at a time.

INGREDIENTS
5 cups turkey stock with pan drippings
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup milk
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
DIRECTIONS
Bring the turkey stock to a boil in a large saucepan. Stir in soup, and season with poultry seasoning, pepper, seasoned salt, and garlic powder. Reduce heat to low, and let simmer.
Warm the milk in the microwave, and whisk in the flour with a fork until there are no lumps. Return the gravy to a boil, and gradually stir in the milk mixture. Continue to cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute, or until thickened. Be careful not to let the bottom scorch.

all you need to make gravy is some oil...vegetable, corn, Conola.....put oil in frying pan and allow to heat a bit....you do not need alot of oil just enough for a thin layer on the bottom of the pan.....
now add you flour....enough to make a semi thick past like substance., smooth out and get all lumps out...let this cook stirring and scraping pan....you want this mixture to turn a little darker than Carmel.......now add hot water add it little by little, when you rmixture stops swelling and looking kinda weird, then just let it simmer....you may have to add more water....always do it little by little until you get the sonsistancey you want....you can always add more but you cannot take it out......add salt and pepper to taste.....and wallah....you have gravy.....you can use this gravy with chicken, pork, beef....usually with beef I add onions.....i will cook onions in mocrowave until tender in water......when done....remove onions....and you can use the water that you cooked the onions in to hlep season your gravy......I hope this helps

Just get some chicken stock, they come in cans, and half a stick of butter.
Stick that in a pot and let it simmer, then add some corn starch to thicken.
