Faster at what event? Your question leaves a lot to be wondered- I would be more than happy to answer but can't with a lack of information. Ask again (so I can answer) with more info.

In general, becoming faster takes time, effort, patience, practice, etc. If you are on a team, believe in what your coach is telling you. If you are running solo, build a base (run longer miles to really get yourself in shape) and eventually work into speed training (mile repeats on the track- or shorter in both cases if you're talking about track sprints.) Wish I could be of more help! I've run for 15 years and might be able to help if I knew more!

Running improvements take time and most people are too impatient to "stay the course". If you truly want to get faster, gradually build up your mileage, and work on hills and intervals. Don't do too much too soon, or you'll risk becoming injured. Take a few small steps each week and reap the rewards in a few months. The link below has some more tips & information on increasing your speed. Good luck!

Do some interval training two days a week and then a long run one day. A tempo run and then one day should be easy. Take a day off. The last day open should be a free run which is where you run as far as you want without a watch and just have fun with it. I gets me faster good luck.
