I currently take "one a day for women" but I've been reading a lot of articles on vitamins and being over the age of 40 --this multivitamin doesn't seem to have what some Dr.'s are saying we need---especially for heart health-----I really don't want to have to take 10 pills a day to get what I need---help

My son's doctor told me never to take a vitamin brand that will not dissolve in a cup of vinegar in 10 minutes. Many vitamins will pass through your system undigested. Waste of money and time. I chose a liquid vitamin. The very best are the ones from Dr Wallach's company American Longevity. I have tried the vitamins and the colloidal minerals and they are terrific. I highly recommend them. I currently, for convenience, use another brand of vitamin/mineral in liquid form from Utrition. I like the taste and I feel much better when taking it. It has a lot of good stuff in it more than just vitamins. Trust me on the liquid vitamins they are so much better for you.

Okay so I got curious about what Kendell said about dissolving the pill in vinegar for about ten minutes. I take the Costco brand Kirkland signature multivitamin regularly, so I tested it in the cup of vinegar...It passed the test, it dissolved completely before the ten minutes, so I'm happy about that. I don't know if it is the best one, but it is reasonably priced and I like it so far for the extra vitamins we all need to have sometimes. Just my two cents, hope it helps :-).

The vitamins from your local drugstore like one-a-day,centrum,etc.. are synthetic.Your body can only use a vitamin made from whole food that it recognizes as food. The rest are flushed as waste. So spend your $$$ carefully. You may want to check out a natural supplement called Nutra-Maxxxx,you can find it at www.dna911.info It is a natural supplement that your body will use..Vitamins taken 2-3 times per day are better for your body, since you eat more than once per day.

They are all about the same, however if you are concerned with heart health you may want to chose one w/o iron.

from what i hear "one a day" is actually pretty good. but you should get screened and see what you need first.. you could simply eat different foods or more of one youa re already eating.
