Its pretty controversial. From what I understand, they found a tomb with the names, Jesus, Mary, and Judah son of Jesus in it.

OK I found some more info on it. It seems there are a few pros and cons:

Pro: The names in the tomb were Joseph, Mary, Jesus son of Joseph, and Jonah son of Jesus.
Cons: These were very common names at the time.

Pro: Its a 600-1 chance that these common names would happen to appear in the same tomb, as the same family.
Cons: It is assumed doubtful Jesus's family could afford a tomb

Jesu was an extremely common name in those days. I heard a story that some builders found the "tomb of Jesus" in the 1980s in Israel. People believed that it was indeed what they thought it was because a man named Jesus was buried with others named Joseph, Mary, Mary Magdalene and Jesus' brother. The Israeli gov't dismissed the claim because these were all very common names back then. I don't believe they found Jesus' tomb.

they found a tomb. it had some names which coincided with goepsl referenced names, but which were also fairly common names at the time.

they said that there wawere 600:1 odds that there could be another family with the same names.

thus, if there were 1200 families in all of the area, there would be 2 boxes with the names. More families, more boxes. So there is no way to be sure.

They found something, but which Jesus? That name was common. Where the tomb was found isn't where it should have been, IF there was one. But Jesus had a borrowed tomb, anyway.

They found a tomb of someone whose name was Jesus and was the son of Joseph but there's no evidence that it was THE Jesus.
