it does cause short-term memory loss.
when i started to become interested in finding out what all of my smoking was doing to my brain, i looked up brain parts and what they did. my spelling may be incorrect, but i looked up the hippothalamus, neurotransmitters, dopamine.
erowid.org is a great site. sites with .edu addresses are generally very scientific and can help you think about what may cause the short-term memory loss.
i would tell you more, but i've since forgotten!
take some notes, if you look these things up, so you'll be mroe likely to remember.

Cannibus causes short term memory loss while you are under the influence. Only in susceptible people and those who have had too much of a good thing! It can be the first sign of trouble and is quickly followed by paranoia from mild to severe! If you want to go that route carry on using but my advice would be stop NOW! Listen to the warning your body is giving you!
All drugs seem to come with their own built in and a loss of short term memory is common to most!

Cannabis produces depression and schizophrenia. It also in chronic users produces brain atrophy or shrinkage. This produces and increases dementia, this would of course produce memory loss.
Seriously this is bad stuff, the medical establishment have been aware of these effects for years. The information was passed to the Labour government, who ignored it and for some strange warped, politically correct reason reduced it's legal status. This sent out all the wrong messages.

cannabis does not cause short term memory loss ant more then getting old it is all natural and like all the pills they are pushing for anxiety cannabis does the same thing it helps calm a person.

Yes and loss of other important bits of the mind too resulting in a marked drop in IQ and a good chance of mental health problems. If you still think thats cool then toke away as your mental contribution to the world would not be missed anyway
These are long term effects, check the number of people in institutions due to cannabis use
