I HAVE A 2006 SALEEN SUPERCHARGED MUSTANG WITH 5PSI IT MAKES 435 HP. FOR $1000 MORE CAN BE UPGRADED TO 475 HP. THE MUSTANG SHOULD HAVE NEW ROTATING ASSEMBLY AFTER 500HP OR SO OR YOU YOU ARE RUNNING ON THIN ICE. ROUSH SHOW 0-60 AT 4.7 AND 13.1 QUARTER FOR THERE STAGE THREE MUSTANG . AS A RULE OF THUMB YOU NEED ABOUT 450 HP TO BREAK INTO THE HIGH TWELVES WITH THE MUSTANG. THE NEW SHELBY GT500 HAS TOP SPEED OF 155 MPH. THE REGULAR MUSTANG IN STOCK TRIM DOES 147 MPH.

A recent test documented a few numbers that you might be interested in.

Stock Mustang GT
300 hp and 276 lb-ft of torque at the flywheel
265 hp at the rear tires
¼ mile drag race time: 14.3 seconds at 100 mph
0 – 60 mph: 5.7 seconds

Mustang GT with a Vortech Superchanger and MagnaFlow Cat-back only Exhaust
462 hp at the flywheel – estimate
376 hp and 353 lb-ft of torque at the rear tires – tested on a dyno
¼ mile drag race time: 13.3 seconds at 108 mph
0 – 60 mph: 4.6 seconds

The supercharger added 111 hp at the rear tires, which is right inline with what Vortech claims.

I agree that these numbers will vary from driver to driver and car to car, but all this testing was done with the same driver and the same car. It was tested, the supercharger installed and then tested again, so although you might be able to get the car to go faster, this is a good side-by-side comparison.

I hope this helps. Have fun with your ride!

I'm not aware of specific statistics for S197 Mustang performance, there are a number of variables involved with how much power is made with a given car. You might want to check out http://vortechsuperchargers.com and http://procharger.com , they're two of the largest centri blower manufacturers. Their sites should have some basic information with expected power production numbers. You can make 1000hp with a Mustang GT with a strong/large enough engine. That would make about a 700hp increase over stock. However, the average kit you can buy will not make those kinds of numbers. The stock 3 valve mustang engine can't sustain those kinds of power numbers anyway.

well, it all depends on how many psi u will run, and what elevation you live at.

an 8 psi charger(super or turbo) will make that stock 4.6 in the 06 mustang gt have 450 hp.

simple because at 14.7psi (sea level) it makes 300

the reason it doesnt calculate over exactly is that the systems are not 100% efficient. a twin screw is the most efficient

it dependes on the size of the pullie of the charger, the base rating of the charger, weither your running stock pullies, stock top and bottom end etc. what kind of suspension do you have. what type of fuel what the fuel injectors are rated at, how many is your fuel pump, stock fuel pressure regulaor, fuel rail sise and flow rate.
on an all stock car read the box and you can google horespower to mph and estmated time and you can get a close figure
