PEOPLE!!! Stop assuming that I am Xian and trying to convert you!!! I'm just asking this because I am interested! And assume that the evidence is 100% correct.

If it was proven 100% true then I would accept it. But it hasn't and never will :-)

Your Q cannot be answered for believers because you made a few false assumptions.

A. Even if you prove every verifiable fact in the Bible wrong, its still could be the case that god exists.

B. You cannot disprove by any known means that God definately DOES NOT exist, only make assumptions based on limited evidence.

No matter what arguments and objections they bring against God, I forever know that he tells the truth and men are liars.

Your Q for atheists is also unanswerable because it relies on an objective point of which the evidence is definately telling the truth. And for some people like atheist, the Bible is incapable of revealing God, even if you proved every verifiable fact in the Bible by history you would never make a single convert from atheism because that isnt why they reject God to begin with. People go to Heaven and hell based on what is in their hearts toward God primarily.

It's a tricky thing... If you do prove that there is a god we are immediately confronted with the problem of: which one? There are thousands of gods and beliefs, all of them equally viable, which is the right one? If there was a god proven every religion in the world would rally claiming it was theirs.

I would of course acknowledge god to exist if it were proven true. However, whether or not the god is worthy of worship (or whether it even cares) is another matter entirely.

The bible is already proven false with just some basic historical knowledge and common sense. Honestly at this point, I find the idea of the bible much, much harder to believe than the idea of there being a supreme being.

Atheists: If the bible was proved true and that there was no god was proved false, what would you do and why?

I would continue as before. TJ put it best:
“Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve the homage of reason than that of blindfolded fear”
- Thomas Jefferson

Correction, I would mostly continue as before. But I would seek out the truth, because if God is as he is written in the bible, then he does not deserve the time of day.

I'm an atheist.

If the Bible were proved true (not sure how that's possible unless you mean in a non-literal sense), and Yahweh with it, then I would have to believe at that point.

However, I would want God to answer quite a few questions before I would choose to follow him... i.e. scietific inaccuracies, contradictions, and most of all - his very own behavior.

Even if you proved that every word in the bible was true, that STILL wouldn't mean that there's a god. You'd still have to provide evidence for a god.

If there were evidence, I'd be perfectly willing to change my mind. But you've had 2000 years. No evidence yet.

The Bible has been around longer then every single book out there, it is the most tested, and yet it is still here. I think that if you are searching for the truth God will help ya, if not yeah the Bible is just the oldest fib.
So to make it short I already believe and I think that the Bible is already shown 100% Truth...

Well the bible has been altered many times so in a sense it is true. However, it is also true that there still is alot of truth to be found in the bible.

In either case I would continue doing what I do because I can see the results are good and to me that is what matters.

Interesting how most atheists answer with, "I'd accept there was a god.", while most theists dodge the question.

Good news though... your first supposition has already been proved. In fact, you can do the test yourself any time you want. Simply repeat after me...

"God please appear before the people of planet earth and prove you are real."

It cannot be proved true as it contradicts itself in too many places. Two contradictory statements cannot both be correct.

If god's existence were proved -- and for me to accept that proof I would basically have to be standing in the presence of god -- what else could I do but believe what I saw and experienced?

That is one freakin' big IF, though.

If the bible were to be proved false I would cease to believe it. But people have been trying for a long time, and the bible still remains the most accurate text we have.
