I'm not completely sure the reason why. I have a girlfriend who's the same way. I think it's more like eating is embarrassing cause if someone sees your mouth open while you're eating that's just disgusting. Could be something around the matter of respect cause you wouldn't want to see that yourself I'd think. lol watching your boyfriend eat probably isn't the best thing to watch either >.<

I don't like to eat around anyone at all. my boyfriend isn't a big deal most of the time but i do get what your saying. You don't want him to think your gross, which really is kind of silly because guys don't care anyway & eventually youll get relaxed enough around him to eat, after all if he cant stand the way you eat and makes a major issue out of it then the guy isnt worth having.

sometimes girls get nervous around guys and we think we need to eat about 2 bites of food and nothing more. That is simply not true! Plus, your boyfriend will feel more at ease if you eat too. Its a very common problem. You just feel like you need to look perfect or act perfect around you boyfriend. Or maybe your still new with your bf, so you're not comfortable with him yet. A lot of girls are like that with similar problems.
