Here is a great recipe that has been in our family for years for pie crust. Hope you try it and like it!!
For two full pies:
3 C. Flour
1 C. Crisco
3/4 C. water
pinch of salt
mix together the flour, crisco and salt. then add the water. Knead it till well blended. It's wondeful!!

Don't use butter--use vegetable shortening (i.e. Crisco) or lard. I've never found a recipe for a butter pie crust that I thought was any good. They always turn out tough for me. Crisco or lard, however, will give you a tender, flaky crust.
Also, make sure you're not overworking your crust. Once you add the water, mix it until *just* combined. You don't want to continue to knead it forever. The more you work your dough, the tougher/drier it becomes. You're making pie crust--not bread. :)

butter is good but your crisco butter flavor is better. you need to cut your butter into the flour until tiny balls form before adding water. add water alittle at a time until the dough holds together so you can roll it out. lightly flour your table or rollingcloth and put dough on it smash it down and flip it over and roll out. do not work the dough to much. just till it holds together.

Uh, your proportions don't really make sense. Too much flour, too much butter. But the water is good.
I don't know what recipe you used, but I say throw it out and find a new one because that is not right.

TO DO and NOT TO DO:
Be sure you sifted the flour first. Be sure you don't play with the dough too long rolling it out. The more you handle it, well, you
know! Men will get that way, too!

I prefer both fruits and fresh vegetables better, however they look and taste. You desire a little of both.

In the event that it's a fruit it includes seeds, otherwise it's a vegetable. And vegetables are usually grown in the ground while fruits are grown in trees.

You may be overworking it or adding too much flour to your workspace or both.
