Alright, I hate sleeping in my bed because I've had sex in it before and it bothers me, I feel like if I lay on my stomach and ... touch the bed I feel like im cheating on my girlfriend somehow, it's such an odd thing to be paranoid about it, its not normal thinking, but I do hate sleeping on my bed? anyway I can get rid of this besides throwing out my bed? that isnt cheating is it?, make a fool out of me for posting this so if you feel the need too, it'll verify how silly I am being

Oh, I've changed the sheets, but had sex without sheets on the bed, yuck.

I'd say that you just feel guilty b/c you always think of having sex in your bed everytime you see it/lay down on it... maybe all you need is a change... have you tried getting a different bedspread/headboard/sheets, anything?

Would a completely new mattress/bed make any difference, or would you still see the bed in the same room and think of previous sex?

It is not a rational thing. It is a phobia, but you do need to deal with it and throwing out the bed and getting a fresh one isn't all that hard. Just sell yours in a bargain finder type magazine and shop around for one on sale. Beds are often kept way past when they should be. Modern matresses should be changed every 5 years or less. They just don';t last anymore. After that they start to wear out and are hard on your back, even though when you are young you don't notice it. Save your cash, sell your old bed second hand and buy a new one. Having Phobias may be a bit silly, but people all are silly one way or another anyhow. Having a phobia isn't all that unusual. Aside from changing your matress I can't see how to work around your problem without therapy which costs alot more than a matress. Having a phobia like yours isn't that bad. I wouldn't stress over the phobia if I were you, just get a new bed.

silly isn't the word i would use but unless you have had sex in that bed with another girl while dating your girl...you are not cheating...if it makes you feel better get a new bed but...if you and your girlfriend have sex on that bed and then you break up are you going to feel the same way again?? beds could get very expensive...

it sounds like you have some other underlying issue.. try to think back in your past if you had any bad experiences with beds.. maybe when you were little you fell off.. good luck!

.....your bed is not a person.. you should not be intimate with your bed. i dont htink your girlfriend will mind anyways...

i wouldnt be upset if my boyfriend was cheating on me wth his bed....i would find it amusing actually..
