is it ok t then drink a protein shake and go straight to the weights, or is it a better idea to do my cardio non an empty stomache in the morning return, have a good brakfast and do weightlifting later in the day?

You shouldn't do long workouts. Even if you do take a small break between cardio and weights, it's not enough.

After workout your body burns more calories when it's resting, so a breakfast after cardio is good.

Then a few hours later weight lifting would be more effective.

Bad. Eat, you have to eat or you'll be losing all your energy quickly. Eat a little, like a banana before doing it because it's high in potassium. Just don't do it on an empty stomach or you can go into sugar shock or worse.

its ok to do cardio on an empty stomache, but before u do weights make sure u have plenty of carbs in ur system
