Psychiatric treatments are harmful. All psychiatric treatments are harmful. Psychiatric drugs, ECT (electric shock) and brain surgery (lobotomy) each harm the individual and society. This sometimes goes against what we have been taught or indoctrinated into believing, and also against what we would often like to believe. Taking a pill as a "cure" obviously is easier than confronting and dealing with the actual personal reasons for one's difficulties with their own mind and life. The alternative requires personal responsibility, control and can take time, but the final results far exceed the quick fix (drugs, shock, etc.). In fact, the "psychiatric" methods "fix" nothing at all and actually make things worse.

Those are Medical Doctors with an MD. and 3 years residency. They are not surgerons, so they dont do any head surgery.
I dont agree with you, I have a relative who was disabled due to a condition, a psychiatrist perscribed a medication. He now owns a car dealership and is quite wealthy. Ten years have now passed. So this Doctor is totaly responsible for getting my friend back on his feet. He is still on the medication and doing very well, as his disease is now under control.
Where are you getting this info? Have you had a negitive experience or is it a Religious thing?
There are numerous people, I mean millions, helped by MD Psychiatrists, not just one, Millions.

First you're working below a defective syllogism. Secondly, the sixteenth replace would not call for the organisation of the IRS only the earnings tax itself. Conservatives do choose the IRS abolished and that section could be performed so devoid of adjusting the shape.. we choose to the two abolish the earnings tax (which might require a clean replace) or only make it extra honest as a flat tax. the different amateurish tries to portray conservatives as hipocrits? Are you only trolling or are you somewhat that unaware of history and the regulation?

Conspiracy theories concerning psychiatry should probably be addressed in another place. Psychiatry is a science, not voodoo. A science is simply a categorized or specialized field of rigorously controlled experimentation which uses a method of inquiry that incorporates oversight by peer review and government regulation. Psychiatric peers and regulators agree that modern psychiatric treatments are effective, appropriate, and safe.
The history of psychiatry is like the history of Christianity. At first both were bloody and primitive. Later, they both became tame and sophisticated, dedicated to the health and well-being of their communities, and people in general.
Please ask the more vulnerable folks to disregard your ignorant position, and apologize, now that you have had a bit of an education.

I thank God for my excellent psychiatric care EVERY DAY!!!!
My life was far worse, and unmanageable, prior to starting treatment for a very debilitating mental illness.
BTW, lobotomy is no longer a treatment for mental illness. It is used ONLY for intractable seizures. ECT has improved tremendously in the past 15 years and is only used for profound depression that fails to respond to treatment with medication.
I am not under the illusion that pills "cure" anything, and continue with behavioral-cognitive therapy and a support group. The medicines allow me to sleep, manage my severe mood swings, and have normal relationships. I no longer spend money I don't have, and no longer sleep around (both decidedly self-destructive). My illness has NO cure, but it is manageable now.
Mental illness is caused by errors in neurotransmitters in the brain, NOT irresponsibility or "control" issues.
Get a grip and stop mouthing-off about a topic you clearly know NOTHING about. Hopefully, neither you or someone close to you never develops a brain illness. Without psychiatric treatment, life would go down the toilet!

you need to know your facts more. depression is a real chemical imbalance. that is like saying to someone who had diabetes to find an alternative method without medical treatment.
