I was on paxil for 1 year (worst year of my life I might add) and still 6 years later every once in a while I get that buzzing, static shock feeling running through my body, completely unpleasant. For the first year it was almost constant through the day. So what can I say, I always tell everyone who asks, and I suggest they really look into some other medication, because I least for me its been HELL.
I truly hope its not so bad for you.

I have been on Paxil for about 7 years. Up the dose, lower the dose. I never knew what was going on. Finally, we found a mg that agreed with me. 40 mg. But then I started to feel panicy throught out the day, so I decided to cut my pills in half. After 7 years and being highly addicted, if I miss my "20mg" dose, every time I move my eyes, I feel like my head is going to explode.
I hope that you get over the withdrawls soon. Best of luck.

Personally speaking, I have tried to wean myself without good effect. The Pharmacist said it's a very long slow wean.
I'm not sure why this happens with Paxil. I would never say do not take it b/c it really helped me in my darkest hour. I just wish there was a better way to get off it. I felt like I was having a zipping feeling in my body & rushes when I attempted to cut back. My pharmacist said you take half does 1 day aweek for 2-3 weeks then take half dose 2xweek for 2-3 weeks, etc. At that rate it could take a number of weeks. I felt awful just missing 1 dose.
