It all depends. If a person thinks that they know something but they really don't then they are just making a mistake. If someone claims to know something and they know that they don't really know, then that's called lying.

You mean like "I KNOW God exists"?

You'll find few atheists with the levels of arrogant confidence that theists have. Bottom line is, bring me the tiniest bit of evidence that can be explained by NO OTHER WAY than a supernatural origin, and I'm a believer.

Yep. And yet what I KNOW in regard to religion (if that's where you're going with this) is just that - what I know. Not what I think you should know - or need to know. It's just about me. So I don't know who I would be lying to.
