no sidetracking! Put your complete focus on your work and do it well. Do not watch tv or play video games or whatever you do. Do everything you are aside and have entertainment later. Oh, and do not wait until the last minute.

I'm a highschooler too and I'm glad you've decided to get more sleep, I promise you things will be easier. Overall I would suggest not taking everything so seriously, there are bound to be things that happen beyound your control. For the sleep prob, just take a warm shower, eat well all that and then go to bed at all times. Finish your homework before this, and basically keep a normal schedule, ur body should do the rest lol. I usually listen to country music cause it's Boring! lol hope this helps. Just learn to relax.

You are going to have to make yourself go to sleep earlier. Try to get into some sort of bedtime routine, reading a non-school book, writing in a diary or journal, having a snack and brushing your teeth, that kind of thing. Make it the same time every night, even on weekends until your body adjusts, and after a few weeks, your body will be ready for bed at that earlier time.

You are still considered a youth, and need your sleep in order for your brain to perform at its optimum level. If you deprive your mind and body of sleep you will be ok for a while, but sooner or later you are going to crash.

Aim for at least 7 or 8 hours of sleep each and every night, no matter what.
