i did it my whole life, and i stopped just recently when we had to buy a new fridge with a more modern freezer, only the old ones frost. People always told me it would make me sick, it never did. No one ever gave me a specific reason why it would make me sick. So whats so bad about it?

Any bacteria that was in that ice or happened to get into the freezer when the door was opened will reappear when the ice gets into your stomach. I worked in a nursing home and one old lady died from an infection from the ice blocks she was eating from the freezer. I know the fridge/freezer was not the cleanest. You were very lucky, glad you have stopped.

In the early day,s the freezer was made from steel and it was thought that the frost would react with the metal and cause the ice to be poisoned. But like you we all ways ate the frost and am still here.

i've got been doing that for the reason that i become 7 years old and now i'm 23 years old and not something has got here approximately to me in any respect. as long as its no longer grimy then this is secure using fact all that's only water frozen around your freezer. I used to do it plenty as a newborn and not something got here approximately to me.

well if you have frozen meat in your freezer, the package could leak and you could get hepatitis or salmonella or some other disease that comes from raw meat. also the engine running the freezer could let off some sort of exhaust or other bad thing, i think.

well if your freezer is clean then it might be aright because you are just drinking frozen water frost, but if your freezer is dirty than that might be a problem.

If your freezer is dirty, it would make you sick. If it is clean, it would be just like eating ice ;)
