Yes, but keep an eye on them. One trick is to rub them with oil first(keeps some moisture in) and poke one end with a fork...this lets out any possible air/steam buildup inside the potato skin, so it doesn't burst open! I would also turn them regularly to get them evenly cooked. It would help if you have one of those grills with the upper rack.

yes, poke holes in them and cook them over a slower heat. I usually put them on long before the meat because they take longer. I also do not put them directly over the heat. Kind of off to the side.

yes you can and it is easy. you can either put them on top and to the side while meat is cooking or wait till meat is just about done and put them right in the coals. takes about 15 mins. in the coals and about 30 min on top.
