I feel he has every right to do what he wants. What doesn it matter to you? do you live there? did you want him to marry you off? ok then!!

Depends on what group this minister is with. Some groups that say they are “Christian” wouldn’t have any problem with such a stand.

Now, if this person is part of a group that is strongly against such - look for them to be removed.

BTW - there is more to a woman that just having children and if a woman has no children doesn't make her less in God's eyes. Look at Anna. No children. A widow. A woman that proclaimed Jesus as the Messiah just as Simeon had done a few verses above where she is mentioned (Luke 2:36-38). Her having no children doesn't lessen who and what she was to God - nor her ablity to know and proclaim what she knew to be God's truth before her.

This just makes me plain sick ,first of all I don't consider him much of a minister in the first place. Second if he only wants to marry gay couples it tells me there is a lot of sick sick individuals in this world today. As for preaching the word He must be preaching false words .I'm sure God must be a God of Love to tollerate such a messed up people.

The guy does have a choice about who to perform weddings for, but it still doesn't seem right to me. Besides, if he's a Christian, why would he marry gay couples? God loves gay people just as much as he loves straight people, but that doesn't mean he condones their actions or gay marriage.

No, I don't feel the same way - I think it's great.

And, according to the rest of your question, I guess the fact that I'm on the fence about having children makes me an abomination as well. I can live with that.

awesome.
im not gay or anything. and im not really christian either. (so my opinion will not be carried over well and i dont care)
so if the priest wants to marry gay couples thats awesome because he sees his Lord as a loving and forgiving one and hes trying to make an example.
i dont think religion should get in the way of any commitment or gender for that matter.
and those who arent open minded about it have their heads stuck up the Old Testament

[oh by the way, just because i dont believe in christianity anymore doesnt mean i dont know waht im talking about AND that also means i dont want to be told i need to be saved, k thanks]

I think he is preaching from the Broke Back Bible.
Funny, it is sort of denying God to not do regular ones.

a) that minister's attitude is wrong; obviously he's putting his agenda ahead of Christian precepts and ideals
b) it's obvious from your question phrasing and structure (that whole spiffy ALL CAPS thingee) that you have a vested interest in some agenda...
One wonders if your personal agenda is more palatable to God than that minister's personal agenda?

I would call that an oxymoron. Minster marrying gay couples??? Yep, I'm sure of it, oxymoron.

I agree with you and I think he is wrong. However, the freedom that gives him that choice is what makes America great. As a country that is losing more freedoms on a daily basis, I respect his right to do that.
