So I went to the shop today and tried to buy a loaf of bread. it was hovis best of both. it cost £1.09 but I only had 79p. I asked the shopkeeper if he could let me off the 30p but he said no. i didn't know what to do. i really needed that bread because I wanted to make a cheese and pickle sandwich but i didn't want to buy a ready-made cheese and pickle sandwich because they don't taste so good and also that would have cost even more than £1.09. In the end I decided not to buy the bread and I just went home and ate the cheese and pickle on its own. xxx

I was at my shop today and some guy came in wanting to by a loaf of bread. It cost £1.09 but he only had 70p. He asked me if I could let him off but I said no. It wasn't really the fact that he was short, I mean I would have let him have the bread but it cost me 89p for the loaf and well the extra 20p is worth my time to stand there watching him decide what he's going to do because I wouldn't let him have the bread. If he asked I would have split the bread in two. I was hungry and could have eaten half a loaf of bread for lunch when I discovered that my shopkeeper wife hadn't packed me any lunch today. In the end he left and I had to wait until now to eat something.
