Everyday this boy annoys me constantly in my AP Lit class. Flicking things at my head, anything! My friends and his friends constantly tell me that he likes me. Why (is he mean), and what should I do?

He's immature. You don't need him. If he acts this way in the pursuit, then imagine what kind of boyfriend he'll be! My high school boyfriend sounds a lot like this guy, and he was a total jerk throughout our relationship. He was probably one of the most inconsiderate guys I've known. At the time, I didn't know any better and thought this behavior was normal. It's not. I can't believe that I ever dated him and for so long (2 years).
I'm engaged to be married this year and my fiancee is a very loving, caring person. He's the kind of man you want to go after, not someone who thinks it's fun to put things in your hair!
What should you do? Tell him to get lost.

I would turn around and say, " Gosh you are really immature, too immature for me to date", and he`ll feel stupid. Sometimes young men need to be put in their place, they need to learn how to treat a young lady...Don`t let him continue to do these things to you. I would walk away when he finally approaches you and tell him, " nice way to show someone you like them, when you`re ready to be more grown up, then I`ll date you".

Well, do you like him?
Sometimes it is hard for a boy to say outright, "I like you!" so they find some weird way to express it. Boys go through a stage of immaturity so it's hard to tell.
So he either hates you or likes you.

he's young, right!
he doesn't really know how to show his feelings, so this is his way of showing attention. i think he's asking for attention and that when you walk up to him to ask why he's acting so mean, he be nice and you'll end up being friends or more.
it's the first step that gives him the chills.

and trhey say the dumbest things
I didn't know this one guy liked me...he made me dislike him for making rude comments about my piercings or my lips...and one day he told me...and i was soo shocked...b/c of the way he treated me
just go up to him...and just ask straight..."Do you like me?" ...and see what he says...maybe he'll stop b/c you've made it awkward for him

he's not exactly being mean...he's just trying to get ur attention...but doesn't want you to know he likes you...just straight up tell him that if he likes you...he should stop annoying you and to chill out....
