Everyone seems to be talking like as if Bob Sapp is the worse fighter ever and how easy it is to beat him. But doesn't anyone realize that those guys that they see beat Bob Sapp are actually a big strong and powerful guy with lot of experience under the belt?

Don't get me wrong, I have no love for Sapp as a fighter. But I know that probably none of us on this forum can beat him simply due to his size, strenghtness, and speed. But yet it seems like as if no one here seems to realize that if it take someone at level of Cro Cop, Nogueira, Jerome LeBanner, etc... to beat Bob Sapp, it doesn't mean just anybody can take on him.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not say he's the best fighter. I'm just saying comparing average mr joe with only couple years of training under their belt in any styles or even lighter professional fighter with Sapp, Sapp is still a very dangerous opponent due to his size, speed, and strenghtness lone.

Eddie, if you think you can take Sapp or Abbott out easily then why don't you go and get a fight against them? It doesn't matter how long their stamina can last if it take them only few good punches to knock you out. Remeber Sapp beat Hoost Ernsto for heaven's sake!

sapp was a great fighter, he was huge and that was his problem. No stamina.
He also had something of a glass jaw.
If his opponents could last the first 2 mins, then they had shot, unless his opponent was someone like Ray Sefo who had laser like precision and hammers for fists.

Bob Sapp is the kind of fighter who wants it to end with one punch..and fast. Like my fellow answerers have said, he couldn't last long in the ring, and relied on his brute strength way to much. Cro Cop is a good 75 pounds lighter and lit Sapp up. The only ones that Sapp can beat are those intimidated by his size.

Any one that beats Ernesto Hoost is a bad mofo, Fujita soccer kicked Sapp in the head 5 times and beat the crap out of him.

a fighter is not dangerous unless they have the stamina to back them up as well...if a fighter can only last a few minutes, they are not great...we might as well say Tank Abbott is a great fighter as well! A speedy fighter can simply dodge everything for the first few minutes and take over as soon as the fatigue and frustration kick in to the bigger fighter!

If Bob Sapp had focused on training hard in MMA he could potentially be a champion. However he seems to be more interested in movies, showboating and posturing. A few years of hard training would do him wonders.

He's a younger, black version of Tank Abbott. He looks to end fights with one KO punch and really doesn't use technique, just brute strength.

He does well fighting the Japs but what if he fought somewhere in America against a corn-fed whiteboy? He may bit off more than he can chew...
