Was convicted in 2005, got probation and it was my first offense.

You probably have no chance of being considered for the job.

under qualifications you will find, "Those convicted of felonies may not be eligible for employment in this occupation."

If it was before you turned 18 you have a better chance. If you were older than 18, you may want to go back to the Judge after your probation is up and see if you can have your record expunged.

I think if you can show some community service above what you were given and fully pay back the profits from the fraud, you might have a chance.

Prepare to Talk to your Govenor..you see..when Someone is Convicted of a Felony.It is up to his or her Govenor to reinstate is Rights (Voting,Gun Purchases,Etc) .If you write
to appeal to him to have your conviction worked on so you
can persue the job and have kept yourself claen and steady..
you may just get the position

let me get this straight..............u want to become a probation officer but u r on probation yourself........................................is that even legal....................................did u like so much that u want to b part of the system again...........weird(no offense to u, every 1 makes mistakes, but i don't get it)
