I have a massive pimple that erupted on my forehead at the worst possible time ever. I was considering getting a cortisone shot for it in order to speed up the healing process but I'm not sure if my insurance will cover it. I don't really feel like paying a lot of money for something like that. If it isn't covered by insurance, how much does it usually cost? Anways, I have Blue Shield.

Also, if you have ever gotten a cortisone shot for a pimple, do you mind sharing the experience with me? I've heard that although it gets rid of the pimple, it can sometimes leave "dents" on your skin.

Thanks everyone!

Usually insurance company's will not cover a cortisone shot. Insurance company's only usually cover things that are medically necessary. But just to be certain you can call your insurance provider and ask them.
