I want to get dreads I just recently cut my hair and its a fade. I want to start getting my dreads. But I need to know how.
I have naturally curly hair, black hair, and i have "white people" hair, and im puerto rican. Just somethings just in case it differs.

If your hair is cut in a low fade you'll have to let it grow out for a few weeks. When it is long enough to grip it's best you go to an African bread salon where they'll put small individual tight twist in your hair (they might gel them to stay locked or closed). Your hair will slowly begin to lock, but you'll need to go to a salon once a month to get your new growth twisted, that way your roots will look neat.
Dreads do not come from not combing your hair after a shower. That's not true at all.

okay, i dont know what a fade is, bu you get locks by taking showers and not coming your ir, keep on doing that and you get locks.
