It is no secret that Christians believed he has always existed in heaven. Which casues me to question. Why ask a question that has been asked a thousand times and answered a million. Especially when this is common knowledge. Did you really not know that Christians belived this? If this is the case I suggest getting a good theological book or speaking to a minister or a philisophy teacher. You may not agree but perhaps he will be able to explain the concept in terms which you can grasp. Cheers

Well, No one made the Creator of the universe. God did not come from anywhere. He had no beginning and will have no ending. He is the eternal, self-existing Being.

God is “everlasting” in nature (Isa. 40:28)

God is “eternal” as to his very essence (Rom. 16:26; 1 Tim. 1:17).

God existence is from everlasting to everlasting. Before the material creation was spoken into existence, he always was (Psa. 90:2).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/God

The name God refers to the deity held by monotheists to be the supreme reality. God is believed to be the sole creator of the universe. As of 2007, a majority of human beings are classified as adherents of religions that worship a monotheistic God, usually the Abrahamic God of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.

Theologians have ascribed certain attributes to God, including omniscience, omnipotence, omnipresence, perfect goodness, divine simplicity, and eternal and necessary existence. He has been described as incorporeal, a personal being, a source of moral obligation, and the greatest conceivable existent. These attributes were supported to varying degrees by the early Christian, Muslim, and Jewish scholars, including St Augustine,Al-Ghazali and Maimonides respectively.

All the notable medieval philosophers developed arguments for the existence of God, attempting to wrestle with the contradictions God's attributes seem to imply. The last few hundred years of philosophy have seen sustained attacks on some of the arguments for God's existence, put forth by such philosophers as Immanual Kant, David Hume and Antony Flew, although Kant held that the Argument from morality for the existence of God was valid. The theist response has been either to contend, like Alvin Plantinga, that faith is properly basic; or to accept, like Richard Swinburne, the evidentialist challenge.

Revelation 1:8 states:

"I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "the one who is and who was and who is to come, the almighty."

Alpha is the fist letter of the Greek alphabet. Omega is the last letter.

God is revealing the truth that He (or She) is eternal. He has been here from before the beginning (the alpha) and will be here after the end (the omega).

God is also with us for every step along the way.

With love in Christ.

when i was about 3 or 4 my mum used to answer all my questions before i went to sleep, like a bedtime story type scenario.
one day i had been asking all the usual "why is grass green" type stuff and she wanted me to goto sleep and i asked "can i ask just one more question",
"if its a small one" she said...
"oh its very small"...it was, 3 words!

"who made god?"

needless to say she couldnt answer...nor can anyone else, all the good christians giving their dissertation length answers to the bible related questions.. they seem to have shied away from this one...
might i suggest, contrary to "god made man in his own image"
that man made god in his own (ideal) image

all these religions are basically the same and the teachings are a way of communicating enlightenment into the unenlightened...kinda backfires sometimes but we should all seek out our own path. religion/god is within. within ourselves and within our planet/universe. everything is the same. its all just zero's and ones, hydrogen, balance, biscuits and good drainage. revolve, rotate, divide and multiply. i feel a bit sick.

God was always here. In the begining was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. (John1:1) the word is Jesus. if you believe in the holy trinity you will see that though there is only 1 God there are 3 parts of him the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit.

He always was and always will be. Trying to figure it out is like pouring the sea into a little hole in the sand in order to contain the sea. I just will not fit.
To put it in perspective, He preceded the big bang, but I can't prove it. Naturally, you cannot prove otherwise, either.
