As long as you can both communicate fluently together, I see no problem w/ it. However, I have had problems being able to communicate with this girl from Brazil who is probably only able to speak about 50% English -- I feel like we're not really on the same page.

Also, I dated a girl from Mexico - who which btw was awesome - for about 3 months, however, I found it a bit annoying when she was speaking to someone from home & went off talking and laughing in another language I didn't understand. It was like I never knew if she was talking about me or not.

I do have a relationship with somebody whose in different culture and nationality...as in different in all things. I choose him, its simply because I was attracted with him and it was so challenging when we started seeing our differences and on how we are solving those difference. You know it was so awesome that after the arguments we will end up understanding each other and who ever is wrong is willing to adjust thats the heart of relationship the more you will end up loving each other because we are learning to accept one another.

good luck and give your best to keep the relationship...

I married somebody of different race, culture beliefs & different backgrounds ... we got divorced within a year ... opposites didn't attract in my case ... lol ... I have to truly understand & relate to the person I love ... it was too hard for us to comprimise on EVERYTHING ... it can really break down a relationship ... but don't let my experience spoil yours ... I let myself be controlled & that's something you never want to do ... be sure you love them for who they are & the same with the other person ... he kept trying to mold me into something I really wasn't ... it just took a little longer to realize what was happening ... !
