Imagine you were in a situation of friends with benefits and you fell in too deep. The guy treats you great but doesn't feel the same. No need to ask him, you just know. You are falling further everyday. You can hurt yourself now and stop seeing him. OR You can continue until one day he decides to end it and you are even more crushed. Seems easy, leave now. BUT it hurts like hell and you have no will power!! What would you do?? I realize that the best answer is not to get into this situation but it's too late so please no lectures. I jsut need your help. I need to know how to get through this. I don't want to like him. I wish I didn't like him. (or of course that he liked me back) Any ideas on how to get him out of my head? Any ideas on how I can stop liking him while still seeing him? (or must I stop right now?) Thanks for any advice.

Here's my advice. Tell him how you feel. That way, you know for sure.

If you can't do that, then give him an ultimatum. Say - I'm not comfortable with this anymore, so it either progresses or I go. (I know you don't want to ask because you are afraid of his answer).

It will be SO hard to let him go, but at the same time, you may find that he wants more too. Its easy to say we won't get invested in our 'friends with benefits' but it rarely turns out that way.

I did it with one 'fwb' - I said I can't do this anymore because I'm starting to 'develop feelings' (first time it happened for me in that situation). So it ended, but he came back and we ended up in a live in relationship.

I don't want to see you being strung along and used for your body. That's like being an unpaid prostitute.
Be strong and do it. I know you can. I have faith in you.

Not seeing him will drive you crazy. It seems the best thing is to stop being friends with benefits and just be friends. This will be tough, and it will hurt, and as stupid as it sounds I would try to find someone else to develop a crush on and try to get to know. It will make you think so much of them it will ease the pain you will feel for your friend with benefits.

I know it's hard but the best thing to do would be to cut off contact now. It is hard and hurts a lot but it will get harder and hurt worse later. Besides this way you are in control, later it will be him and you will feel worse.

TO stop liking him you may try to focus on bad points.

The second that you see him, calmly explain to him to end it. There. It's done, over with, no more pain. Don't put too much emotion into it and just get it over with. Quick and easy.
